However, unlike your standard definition of a hotel, this one is more along the lines of a sleep spa, with a strong focus on ensuring guests receive a restful night’s sleep.
Despite this being Hästens’ first foray into such a type of venture, the Hästens Sleep Spa isn’t in or anywhere near its home of Stockholm. Instead, it is located in Coimbra, Portugal, a city nestled between Porto and Lisbon. The Hästens Sleep Spa also differentiates itself by having just fifteen rooms, each of which is intended to be used for a single night.
When guests check-in, they will be presented a pillow menu to determine the firmness of the pillow. Furthermore, guests can make use of the in-house Restore app and there will even be a sleep specialist doctor available at the front desk. For Hästens, the Hästens Sleep Spa serves as a way for guests to experience what it’s like to sleep on a Hästens bed, all of which are meticulously made by hand.
